First Days – Invisalign

Your Choice is CLEAR!

Recommended Wear

We recommend that you think of your invisalign trays like you think of your cell phone: don’t leave home without it. For best results Invisalign should be worn 20-22 hours every day. Basically only taking them out to eat and to brush.

Eating & Drinking with Aligners

So long “No, No” list. One of the great things about Invisalign treatment is that you can continue to enjoy all of those foods and drinks that you love. We just have a few recommendations on how to keep your munching from slowing down your new smile.

Stay hydrated drinking water in your trays all day long.

invisalign tray

Don’t forget to slip off your trays before eating or drinking anything except water.

Watch out for food and drinks that can stain teeth, they will also stain your trays.

toothbrush

Try to brush or rinse your mouth after eating or drinking to keep your trays fresh and reduce the risk for cavities.

So Long, Soreness

Sensitive chompers are common and completely normal for the first few days in a new tray. One the best medicines for discomfort when biting is actually chewing. Chewing a rubber ring to massage the teeth in their trays for 20-30 minutes a day can greatly reduce your soreness and keep your trays fitting well.
